Design & Craft
Our own design library and working drawings: where the motifs come from, the eight bench stages, the metal fineness — with every stage of the labour on its own line.
Where a design starts
Every piece in the catalogue comes out of our own design library, which means it can be made again and it can be altered. A reference photo is not copied: it is redrawn first as a working drawing — how much metal, which setting, how the side stones are laid out, the polishing and plating stages — and only then goes to the bench.
Motifs we work with
The visual tradition of the Gulf is our working material: the eight-point star and interlaced banding, the vine rhythm of arabesque, the line density of filigree, the block of colour a bezel or a Kundan-style setting gives, and the direction of a calligraphic stroke. We reduce these into a light modern structure instead of enlarging an old motif onto a surface.
The steps a piece passes through
Model-making, casting, filing, setting work, stone setting, polishing, plating, then a check before it leaves. Each stage carries its own labour line on the quotation, so you decide where to add and where to keep it simple. With the gold weight and stone grade fixed, what changes is the process, not the standard.
Metal and fineness
S925 is sterling silver, 92.5% silver, usually rhodium- or gold-plated. The karat states the gold content: 10K about 41.7%, 14K about 58.5%, 18K about 75%. The higher the fineness, the warmer the colour and the softer the metal, so halo and pavé settings need heavier, firmer seats — and that labour stays on the quotation because it is not a hidden cost.
How we talk about quality
We use three checkable things instead of adjectives: the stone grade on the 4C scale — carat, colour, clarity, cut; the fineness, in gold content and weight; and the process, meaning whether the setting is seated properly and how many polishing and plating stages were done. A report for a larger center stone or a loose stone can be commissioned, with availability and cost confirmed by email; what happens on a quality fault is in our Terms.
Custom work and renovation
Custom manufacturing, OEM work, design-from-reference and renovation can each be ordered as their own service. How an existing piece reaches us and how any material loss appears on the quotation are agreed on the call and written into the order note.
